Trust Financial Officer
We are currently seeking a Trust Financial Officer to join our team and oversee financial operations within our multi-academy trust.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the trust.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with school finance staff to support budget planning and monitoring.
- Process invoices, expenses, and payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the education sector or multi-academy trust environment.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
