Teaching Personnel are working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Basingstoke, seeking Teaching Assistants to work on an ad-hoc basis or for full time positions.

The school is a Secondary School in Basingstoke, catering for pupils with behaviour needs; including those who have been temporarily or permanently excluded from school.

We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work on a 1-1 basis with pupils off-site. This role involves:

  • supporting the pupil with their work
  • engaging the pupil in education
  • managing behaviour
  • transporting the pupil off-site (usually to a library or similar public place)

To be successful in this role you must:

  • have experience working with children and/or young adults
  • have strong behaviour management
  • be resilient
  • have a good sense of humour

We need TA's for full time, part time and bank staff roles. The school hours are 8.30am - 4pm.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
