Teaching assistant required for Bury Pupil Referral Service

Job description

Our client organisation is a group of specialist schools located across Bury and they are in need of Teaching assistants who can work in various capacities across the various sites. The provision caters for young people with various social and emotional difficulties and as a result they can display very challenging behaviours. The school expects their Teaching assistants to managing challenging behaviours and enable the young people to remain engaged.

The mentors will need to go into school and work effectively, efficiently and use the right approach for each provision's students and as a result prior experience in these settings is imperative.

Experience required:

- SEMH/PRU Experience

- Sports Coach

- Residential Support

- Mentoring

- Youth Work

Teaching assistants with a DBS registered on the update service will be able to start immediately in the area of their choice.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
