Teaching Assistant, Leyland Behavioural Unit

Teaching Personnel work with a Leyland based School which caters for primary aged pupils who have SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenigng Behaviours. The School are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant who has experience working with pupils in KS1. The role will be to support a reception pupil on a 1:1 basis, the pupil can display quite challenging behaviours, the pupil also has SEMH Difficulties and struggles to communicate effectively.

The role will start after the Easter holidays and will continue as a minimum until the summer holidays. The role will be full time and candidates applying for this role must hold their Team Teach qualification or be willing to complete their Team Teach training over the Easter holidays. To be considered for this role you also must have a Teaching Assistant qualification, ideally level 3.

The candidate, as well as being a qualified TA, must also have experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism and/or challenging behaviours. The candidate must be available full time and able to work in the Leyland area.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
