I am currently working with an alternative provider who are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant or starting ASAP.
The provision is for students aged 5 - 19 years old and you would be working on a one to One basis, in small groups & supporting students through Vocational courses across the East Midlands. Short & long term interventions are provided for students.
Your role will be to work 1:1 on a personalised timetable for each student. You will be collecting students and transporting them to their lessons, vocational activities and will be providing invaluable effective support.
We are looking for people based in the Nottingham area, specifically Hucknall, Stapleford, Bullwell, Nottingham City and Mansfield. You must have a full driving license and be happy to travel between sites with the student as a passenger - you must also be willing to have or obtain business insurance because of this. Risk assessments are put in place to safeguard you and your students.
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE:
- At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people
- Full Driving License
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a Degree related to Education
- Previous experience in an education, youth or residential setting
- Additional experience supporting people with SEND and any CPD training obtained such as Autism Awareness, Team Teach or Safeguarding (desired but not essential)
- A nurturing and calming attitude
- Knowledge of Makaton, PECS or BSL (Desirable but NOT essential)
