A large three form entry school in Bournemouth are recruiting for a behaviour specialist to support children in their nurture base.
This Ofsted rate good school grew from a two form to a three form entry school five years ago and supports a wide demographic area. Due to the schools location, the pupils and families the school supports are widely varied and can be complex.
The schools Behaviour Mentor was responsible for setting up the schools nurture room, which supports children from Nursery to Year 6.
The room offers a calming, supportive environment where children can continue their learning and also develop strategies to help cope with their feelings and behaviour.
The success for the nurture room and the support offered is great and clearly evident; so much so other schools will use their room and strategies as a model for their behaviour / SEND rooms.

To be considered for this position you must have;
- Prior experience of supporting children with challenging behaviour.
- Or be a recent graduate with strong behaviour management looking to start you career within educations.
- Or be a sports coach with experience of teaching children one to one or in small groups and be looking to transition into primary education.
- Or a Teaching Assistant with class based experience wanting a more specialised position.
