Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client school in Torfaen who are looking for a fluent welsh speaking Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 1 class in a fluent welsh medium Primary School until the summer term.

Position: Teaching Assistant

Pay: (PAYE) GBP57 per day including National Insurance, Pension and Holiday Pay.

Start Date: February 24th 2020

End Date: 20th July 2020 (potential opportunities to go from a temporary to a permanent contract with the school)   

Interview/Observation Trial: From the 3rd of February to 14th of February

Closing date: 12th February 2020

Essential for this role:

- The ability to communciate effectively and confidently through the medium of welsh.

- A CHILD ONLY Enhanced DBS (We can help you obtain this if you haven’t already got one).

- You will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council as a Support Learning Worker. Education Workforce Council (EWC) is the independent regulator in Wales for Teachers, Further Education Teachers and learning support staff. Registration with the EWC is a legal requirement for anyone who works in a Welsh School.

Desirable for this role:

- Previous experience working in the education or care sector. Although desirable, it is not essential.
