Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school situated in Bodmin who are looking for a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant starting February 2021.
This is a temporary position until 31st August 2021 initially with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will truly make a difference in children's lives. If you want a fulfilling job, with a variety of challenges, which you can meet head-on with a great sense of humour and a passion for working with children, then this is the job you have been looking for!
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- demonstrate patience and a passion for making a difference for children;
- have experience of working with children;
- work as part of a team within the classroom as well as on their own initiative.
- communicate effectively with children, parents and other professionals.
Knowledge or experience of the following would be advantageous:
- experience of working with additional needs and an understanding or experience of autism and/or social, emotional mental health needs;
- support of communication and social skills;
- support of social and emotional needs;
- provision of a sensory diet to enable self-regulation;
- the ability to respond to different learning styles and adapt learning accordingly;
- support of the teacher in carrying out assessments of children’s progress;
- support of the teacher in delivering the primary curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
