Full time Teaching Assistant required for long term position starting in September 2020

Due to a gap in the SEN support department, we require an additional Teaching Assistant to join the school from September 2020 to help support pupils on both a 1:1 and small group basis. This is a long term position, for at least the academic year however there is an opportunity for a permanent contract for the incoming Teaching Assistant in the next academic year.

The incoming Teaching Assistant would ideally have previous experience working within a secondary school supporting SEN, however we would welcome applicants from those who have similar transferable experience or those who have recently graduated and would like further experience within a secondary school setting before considering a career in education and enrolling on their PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.

-          Full time vacancy for a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils on both a 1:1 and group basis

-          Working within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school in Oldham with state of the art facilities

-          Earn up to GBP70 a day, dependent on experience and responsibilities

-          Access to further development and training opportunities

The incoming Teaching Assistant will be joining a very supportive and welcoming SEN department which all work together as a team to assist the individual needs of each and every pupil. Approximately 12% of pupils within the school require additional support due additional needs and as such the SEN team and Teaching Assistants must be able to provide specialist support to help ensure all pupils can reach the curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
