Are you looking for a support position in a secondary school within the Trafford area close to The Trafford Centre?
A co-educational secondary school in the Trafford area is looking to recruit a general teaching assistant to start with them following the half term on Monday 2nd November. There is potential to start on Monday 19th October prior to the half term break if you are available and interested, please highlight this on your application.
This is a TA requirement for the remainder of the academic year with opportunity to progress onto a school based contract. The successful teaching assistant is required on a full time basis. This teaching assistant role will involve supporting across the curriculum working with students in lower school, aged 11 – 14 in years 7 – 9 in the main. Depending upon the experience of the appointed Teaching Assistant, there is the opportunity to work with students at KS4 aswell.
The successful Teaching Assistant is required to support students who have been identified as having additional needs. This could be supporting those students who aren’t secondary ready or working with those who are struggling in particular subjects. Therefore, any individuals with experience of tutoring, providing intervention or just working with young people are encouraged to apply now for consideration.
Highlights of this Teaching Assistant role:
- Pay will be range between GBP1300 and GBP1450 per month depending upon confirmed hours and experience
- Work within a reputable and well organised single sex secondary school in the Trafford area
- Located close to the local bus stop and train station making it very easy to access for those teaching assistants on public transport
- Support across the subject and age range, building on previous experience; primarily with year 7 – 9
- Full time general Teaching Assistant required to start in November post half term
This mixed comprehensive secondary school is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who can fulfil the role of a teaching assistant. The school has advised they are looking for someone who is able to draw upon previous experience of supporting students within a school setting ideally but any setting would be suitable. The successful teaching assistant will report to the school SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) having the opportunity to suit in a variety of subjects and departments. Specific experience of SEN is not required for this teaching assistant position but any relevant experience is highly desirable.
The school is located in the Trafford area close to the local train station. It is therefore easy to get to for teaching assistants on public transport but being situated close to a main road, is ideal for those who drive.
The SENCo is looking for a positive and confident teaching assistant who can provide general support and assistance to students making a real impact in their school life. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
