The School:

The School was built in the 1930s on the site of an earlier secondary school, dating back to 1860. The main building has been sound proofed and there is a large play area. There is centre for pupils with autism. There are places for up to 10 children in the centre, who have educational health care plans. The centre pupils are fully included in in mainstream classes, where they are supported by a highly dedicated team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants. In addition to this pupils also receive physiotherapy and speech and language therapy.

The Role:

You will be working 1:1 with a pupil with an autistic student. You will work both within the centre and in mainstream classes. You will be in charge of safeguarding the student and providing a nurturing educational environment.
