Teaching personnel are currently recruiting for a general teaching assistant to join our school in the Newbridge Area (NP11). The position is a full-time role (Monday – Friday) and a daily rate of GBP60-75 dependant on experience. This post will begin on the 22nd of February with the potential of a permanent position.
The ideal teaching assistant…
- Ability to work in a team and individually
- Able to handle pressured situation’s and deescalate any situations that may arise
- Experience working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Child based or young adult-based experience
Our school in the Newbridge area are excited to introduce a new Teaching Assistant to their team of 8 who are already within the school. They are currently looking to take on a general assistant who can help support within classes of 30 pupils alongside the subject teacher. Your role will need you to work closely with the class teacher to support engagement of all students as well as ensuring they are learning ready.
The school have enhanced learning by adopting multiple alternative ways of teaching and helping pupils throughout the school years. There will be dedicated staff who will be around the school for any additional support you may need throughout your placement. You will be given access to the facilities in the school such as the reading rooms, ICT suites, intervention rooms and many more throughout your placement to encourage engagement of the pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
