This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal development.

Role Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the teaching and learning process in our school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide tailored assistance to students, helping to remove barriers to learning and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students' growth and achievement across a range of subjects and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives and providing additional assistance as needed.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations to promote their participation and success.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, serving as a supportive and encouraging presence within the school community.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting respect, empathy, and cooperation among students.
  • Assist with the organization and supervision of educational outings, extracurricular activities, and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant qualification/experience.
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably in a similar role supporting teaching and learning.
  • Passion for working with children and young people, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in their lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and use own initiative to support students' individual needs effectively.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
