ASC Teaching Assistant Required

Are you experienced supporting within KS3/KS4? Do you hold a minimum of a Level 3 or educated to Degree level? Are you experienced supporting pupils with ASC or Challenging behavioural needs?

If so a secondary school, previously graded as 'Good' by Ofsted, is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, engaging, outgoing Teaching Assistant to work as part of their SEN support team. The role would be to support pupils on a 1:1 basis with ASC needs, helping them across the curriculum.

The school aims to ensure that pupils are able to grow in an environment where they are safe, to share learning with others, to learn through opportunities and to laugh in a community that makes the most of everyday.

In order for you to be successful for this role you will need to:

  • Be nurturing
  • Be adaptable and flexible
  • Have a good understanding of the early years curriculum
  • Have a strong knowledge of phonics
  • Be experienced working with challenging behavioural needs
  • Have strong levels of English and Maths
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
