I am looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant that is required to carry out specific education work with an individual in Year 6. You will be required to support the team in the delivery of lessons and related educational activities as specified in the pupils' EHCP Plans.
Our client requires you to have an up-to-date understanding of addressing students with a diagnosis of ASC. The young person in question requires support to start as soon as possible and needs support throughout all aspects of school life. This will include meeting their emotional and social needs as well as academic needs.
The kind of person I have been asked to look for is someone who is robust and resilient. The young person needs a consistent approach to their learning and behaviour ensuring progress is made every day.
As a 1:1 support assistant you will need GCSE grades from A-C in all the core subjects and will have some previous experience of working with young people in this setting.
The school is based in Stockport and isn't too far from Heaton Moor and is easily accessed via both public transport and car.
If you are looking for a new challenge that is truly rewarding, please contact me on my details below.
