PE Teacher with Maths – 6 Month Contract
WN1, Wigan | January 2026 Start | Fixed-term until July 2026
Are you a qualified PE Teacher with the ability to teach some Maths? An exciting opportunity has arisen at an Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school in WN1 for a dynamic teacher to join the team on a 6-month contract from January 2026 to July 2026.
The Role:
We are seeking a committed teacher who can deliver high-quality PE lessons while also teaching Maths as part of the timetable. You will be joining a supportive department within a school that values both academic progress and personal development.
Responsibilities include:

Teaching engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Delivering part of a Maths timetable (support provided where required).

Planning and assessing lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

Contributing to extra-curricular sports activities and whole-school life.
-
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
What We’re Looking For:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
-
Experience teaching PE, with the ability/willingness to deliver Maths.

Strong classroom management and a passion for student development.
-
Organised, adaptable, and committed to high standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
