PE Teacher with Health & Social Care – October Start
WN6, Wigan | Start: October 2025 | Fixed-term Contract

An Ofsted “Good” secondary school in WN6 is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable PE Teacher to join their team from October 2025. This exciting role includes delivering Health & Social Care alongside core PE lessons, making it a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with a versatile skill set.

The Role:

We are looking for a teacher who can inspire students both in the sports hall and the classroom, delivering high-quality lessons that support academic progress and personal development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Delivering Health & Social Care to KS4 students.

  • Planning and assessing lessons to meet a wide range of learner needs.

  • Supporting extra-curricular activities and whole-school initiatives.

  • Creating a safe, positive, and motivating learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge in PE and Health & Social Care.

  • Ability to engage, motivate and support learners of all abilities.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.

  • A passion for both sport and personal development.
