Job description

Are you a skilled and compassionate teacher with a passion for working in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) settings? We are looking for dedicated Core Subject Teachers to join our team, delivering high-quality education across SEN and SEMH provisions in Wigan and the surrounding areas.

About Us:
We are a specialist teaching personnel agency focused on placing exceptional educators in SEN and SEMH settings. Our goal is to support schools in providing inclusive, tailored education that meets the unique needs of every child.

Role Overview:

  • Teach core subjects (English, Maths, Science) to pupils within SEN and SEMH provisions

  • Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs

  • Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and school leadership to create a positive learning environment

  • Adapt teaching strategies and materials to support pupils with diverse needs and challenges

  • Promote emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress in a nurturing setting

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching core subjects at KS2 or KS3 levels

  • Experience or strong understanding of SEN and SEMH education

  • Excellent classroom management skills and empathy for pupils with additional needs

  • Flexibility to work across various settings within Wigan and nearby areas

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
