Teacher of Art required in September for special education

Job description

A Primary and Secondary special school based in the Wokingham area are looking for a Teacher of Art to join them from September 2018 for a temporary to permanent contract. The ideal candidate should have experience of teaching Art or Design and Technology, be passionate, creative and have great behaviour management strategies. They must be confident in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons for this age range.

You should be confident working with Support staff in the classroom, and planning to ensure all learners are targeted - differentiating your work appropriately to meet the needs of the class.

This school is close to public transport - train station is a 15 minute walk away, and 5 minutes from the bus stop if you are travelling from Reading or surrounding areas.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
