Teacher for Behaviour Class - Post Half Term

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced teacher to join our increasingly growing team of passionate educators at Teaching Personnel.

Ideally you will have previous experience working with pupils with extremely challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

The position is within a pupil referral unit and will be highly challenging, but will offer you great job satisfaction and sense of achievement. Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with EBD or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) is highly desirable, such as an understanding of the complexities related to this. The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of teaching and behaviour strategies relevant to this.

A Team-Teach qualification or relevant qualification (e.g. MAPA) are highly desirable but not essential. Teaching Personnel also offer a range of CPD courses including Team-Teach, Introduction to Autism and Moving and Handling so don't worry!

So are you passionate about inspiring and motivating SEMH pupils to access the curriculum. An understanding and flexible nature is essential, and the school is particularly keen to have candidates who are proactive, empathetic, engaging and creative. Candidates should use their personality to engage with these students. This is a fantastic opportunity to show what you can do and put your skills into practice and show how you can positively encourage all pupils to overcome barriers to learning which will be extremely rewarding.

Should you require any additional information regarding this role, or to apply for the position, please contact Chris your SEN specialist.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
