A 'good' Ofsted rated special needs school in Waltham Forest are looking for full time a support worker to become part of their team to work in a KS4 class for students with physical disabilities. The secondary school is part of a multisite academy and has a mixture of pupils with autism and physical disabilities.
As a support worker you will be required to use your skills and training to cater to students with both physical disabilities and students in need of personal care. This will require assistance with toileting such as nappy changing as well as feeding due to the learners needs.
For this role we are looking for support workers with:
- Manual handling training/hoisting
- Experience working with Mental health/special needs/challenging behavioural needs
- Providing personal care support to young adults
- Flexible availability
- Strong personality
