SEMH Tutor Needed in Southwark
Support Young People’s Social, Emotional & Mental Health | £20-£30 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled SEMH Tutor to provide personalised, impactful support to students facing social, emotional, or mental health challenges. Your role will be pivotal in transforming lives, helping learners build confidence, resilience, and academic success.
Key responsibilities:
- Assessing students’ individual SEMH needs and learning profiles
- Planning and delivering structured, engaging sessions tailored to each learner
- Creating a safe, nurturing environment where students feel heard and valued
- Building trusting relationships to foster emotional and academic growth
- Monitoring progress and adapting strategies for maximum impact
- Collaborating with families, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals
About You
You are a patient, empathetic educator who can:
- Assess, plan, and deliver a bespoke scheme of work
- Support students with complex SEMH needs using trauma-informed and restorative approaches
- Communicate clearly and calmly, building positive rapport
- Inspire self-esteem and motivation in your learners
Relevant qualifications and an enhanced DBS check are required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
