Teaching Personnel is working with a SEN school based in Coventry, who is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within a KS4 class with young people with SLD/MLD & associated challenging behaviour. The school caters for young people aged 11-16 with a variety of Special and Complex needs, including; SLD, MLD, ASC & associated challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people or adults with learning difficulties in some capacity; whether it be as a Teaching Assistant or as a Support Worker. You must be confident when dealing with people with Severe Learning Difficulties, and capable of dealing with the challenges that this presents. Any candidates from a Support Worker background would be ideal. A Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
