Supply Teacher

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced KS2 Supply Teacher to work in one of our local Primary schools in the Wakefield. The successful candidate start date will be as soon as the children go back to school for a 6-month contract earning up to GBP180 per day depending on experience.

 

The Role

Your role at the school would be to assist the class teacher and possibly support other TA’s in the room throughout the school day. Your main duties will include helping pupils with their work, assistance in group work activities, providing an alternative environment for the pupils to work to promote the pupils progress and help them reach their full potential.

The Schools main aim is to prepare children for challenged, opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. The school do this by building on the children prior learning, providing first hand learning experiences, nurture children, recognise the importance of parent partnerships, promote the importance of healthy body and mind and ensure a language rich environment, allowing children to develop and resilience, creativity and independence whilst raising standards across the National Curriculum.

 

What is required from you

· QTS required (Qualified Teacher Status)

· DBS registered with the Update Service (desirable)

· Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 in the last 12 months would be preferable

· Key stage 2 experience

· Available to start as soon as the children return back to school

· Have at least two education based references from your most recent employer(s) which are GOOD or OUTSTANDING.
