Supply Teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are looking to register qualified teachers who are available for any supply teaching in January. We work with over 10 different schools in the Tameside/East Manchester area that regularly request general supply teachers and are getting busier and busier as the academic year progresses. The role of a general supply teacher is ideal for any teacher who is available for as little as a single day each week as there is complete flexibility as to when you are able to work.
Working with a number of schools in the immediate area of Tameside including specific schools in Ashton-under-Lyne, Hyde, Dukinfield, Denton, Gorton and Droylsden makes finding work very easy with daily requests coming through consistently. If you are available on a part time, temporary or full time basis then apply now for a phone call to discuss the potential schools and roles available.
Highlights of the general supply teaching role:
- Pay ranging between GBP95 - GBP160 for day to day cover depending on short term, medium term and longer term placements
- Different roles available based on teachers’ preference including full class teaching, small groups intervention and tuition roles
- Teach at a wide range of different secondary schools that often ask for the same teachers back for continuity
- Variety of roles available:
- Full time, temporary, part time opportunities
- General cover required at a long list of secondary schools
- Options for teaching your specific subject with lots of cover being required
As can be seen above, we work with a number of secondary schools in a wide variety of capacities. As the recruitment partner for schools in Stalybridge, Ashton and Tameside in general, we have found schools requesting teachers for day to day cover as well as intervention roles supporting students throughout the Spring and Summer term in preparation for the upcoming exams during these terms.
The schools we work with are very easily accessible with many being located close to the tram line or off the main A-roads in the area. If you are a teacher that prefers to teach or support in an academic environment then apply now as we work with a number of grammar and outstanding schools. In the same vain, if you prefer a more challenging environment, supporting and teaching students who are more disengaged with school life, then apply now as we also work as a partner with schools that are situated in more socio-economically deprived areas where behaviour is more challenging for example.
If you are due to be available for any period of time in January at any point or thereafter, then apply now for immediate consideration. We will arrange a phone call and a follow up face to face meeting where we can go into more detail about the schools we work closely and put you forward for any specific roles given your preference.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
