Job Duties:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) designed by the classroom teacher
- Support students in their academic and personal development
- Help with classroom management and behaviour support
- Assist with administrative tasks related to student progress and welfare
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Understanding of autism qualification- preferred
Education:
Relevant educational background or training in supporting students with special educational needs
Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and the ability to provide tailored support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting student learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or qualifications in special educational needs (SEN)
- First aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within a school setting in a small community Primary School in SA33
- Full-time hours, following the school term calendar
- Across Summer-Term

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
