Supply Teacher Opportunities in South Manchester, Stockport, and Wilmslow
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Supply Teachers to join our team and work across a range of schools in South Manchester, Stockport, and Wilmslow. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time opportunities, we have flexible positions available to suit your schedule. The pay for this role ranges from £120 to £160 per day, depending on experience.
Role Overview:
As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of educational settings, covering lessons across different subjects and age groups. Your role will involve stepping into classrooms as needed to deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, managing student behavior, and supporting students' academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Covering Lessons: Delivering lessons across a range of subjects and key stages, following pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the school.
- Maintaining Classroom Management: Establishing and maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment, managing student behavior effectively, and ensuring a conducive atmosphere for learning.
- Supporting Student Progress: Providing support and guidance to students as needed, facilitating their engagement with lesson content and helping them to achieve their learning objectives.
- Adapting to Different School Settings: Being flexible and adaptable in your approach, as you may be required to work in various schools with different cultures, policies, and practices.
- Collaborating with School Staff: Communicating effectively with school staff, including teachers, teaching assistants, and administrative personnel, to ensure smooth transition and continuity in the classroom.
- Reporting and Feedback: Providing feedback to the regular classroom teacher about student progress, behavior, and any issues encountered during your time in the classroom.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching in UK schools, either as a qualified teacher or as a supply teacher.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in different school settings and cover various subjects and age groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and school staff.
