We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable university graduate with a ‘can do’ attitude to assist with a range of duties and activities across the School including: assisting teachers in classes, games sessions, exam invigilation, school trips and other duties in-line with the post-holder’s skills and experience, with a focus on Sports initiatives.
The successful candidate will need strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise with a wide range of other staff across the school, given the diverse nature of the role. They will also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and have a willingness to work flexibly with both duties and hours in order to meet the requirements of the School.
The School provides training in skills both related to teaching and transferable to other professions. The role will allow those interested in pursuing a career in teaching to gain directly relevant experience and training, and those more likely to move into another profession beyond the end of their time at John Lyon to acquire skills, such as organisation, leadership and creativity, beneficial for their future careers.
Salary: GBP9.50 - GBP10.50 per hour
Hours: 08:45 – 15:15 – 4 days per week

The Sports Graduate Assistant will need to be able to commence in March 2020, with the option of either a 6-month contract until the end of Summer Term 2020, or 18-month fixed-term contract until the end of Summer Term 2021 (please state your preference in your application).
