Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEND school in Newcastle who are seeking a behaviour support assistant on a full time basis, to commence as soon as possible until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be working with students aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The school are looking for someone with a sporting background, who can use their skills to coach and encourage pupils with SEMH.
The successful candidate will have the option to work with secondary pupils; the students are in need of extra support and guidance during their lesson time. The main aspect of the role will be helping the students to engage with their learning, and encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour throughout the day. Students in this provision often display extremely challenging behaviour, as well as social emotional and mental health difficulties. Alongside this, you will be participating in sports coaching sessions with pupils!
Registering with Teaching Personnel will also provide you with access to unique CPD opportunities to increase your qualifications and knowledge of the field. We have an upcoming Team Teach training course which will highly benefit you in this role in order to best manage challenging behaviour. You will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds, who are well placed to enrol you onto your desired courses and place you into schools.
Teaching Personnel can offer behaviour support assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £65 per day, although this role will be held on a short term basis, registration with Teaching Personnel can provide you with many further work opportunities.
