Specialist Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are the UK's largest education providers of Teachers and Teaching Assistants, and we are proud to be working with a Special Education Needs school near Petersfield who require an experienced TA to work within their lovely SEN provision!

About The Role:

The school cater for both Primary and Secondary aged pupils with varied Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties to include Speech and Language needs and development delay. There is also a small percentage of physical and medical needs. The class sizes range between 6 - 10 pupils and you will be assisting the class Teacher and Teaching Assistants, which will include 1:1 and small group work. The school hours are between 8.50am and 3.10pm, Monday to Friday.

Criteria:

For this role, you must have previous experience with children and young adults who have additional needs. The right fit is vital to the school; being able to work with the pupils and staff are very important. 

A minimum of GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English is essential.

You must have a calm and nurturing personality, with a passion about making a difference in young people’s lives.

You will be resilient and confident to work with a varied range of needs and ages.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
