One to One Tutors required in the Fareham, Gosport and Portsmouth areas.
Teaching Personnel works in partnership with a number of local secondary schools who provide additional educational provision for their students with 1:1 tutors. The aim of the tuition is to promote progress, raise aspirations and improve overall educational outcomes for their students. The schools seek ambitious individuals who are passionate about teaching, learning and their subject to support a range of students ranging from the most vulnerable to gifted and talented students. We are seeking tutors who a degree of flexibility and are happy to work in a range of educational environments as well as students homes.
In particular, we support schools who have additional funding and needs for students with SEN and those who are considered looked after children. This type of tuition aims to keep pupils engaged in education regardless of their external circumstances. The work can be tailored to suit their learning styles, focus and ability to ensure they have a bespoke 1:1 learning opportunity with you.
The ideal candidate:
- A graduate of English, Maths or Science or related degree with a 2.1
- Second and third year university students considered
- Have prior experience of working in an educational environment or with young people
- Be expert in their subject and demonstrate sound subject knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 national curriculum for it
- Be committed to their continual professional development and show willingness to participate in relevant training courses
- Be an effective and sensitive communicator and be able to differentiate for a range of learning styles
- Retired teachers who can offer a few hours per week

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
