Job Advert: Learning Support Assistant – Full Time, Hampshire
A well-regarded independent school in Shawford, Hampshire is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.75.
The school supports children with a range of additional needs, providing a nurturing and structured environment tailored to their individual requirements. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting pupils with their learning and development, helping to create a positive and supportive atmosphere in the classroom and throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children with diverse educational, social, and emotional needs

Assisting teaching staff in delivering tailored learning programs

Promoting positive behaviour and fostering independence

Helping with personal care and health needs where necessary

Supporting children during activities both inside and outside the classroom
Relevant Experience:
Applicants with backgrounds in care work, healthcare, education, childcare, or nursery settings are encouraged to apply, as these experiences provide a strong foundation for this role.

Situated in Shawford, Hampshire, the school is easily accessible and offers a calm, community-focused environment ideal for making a meaningful difference in children’s lives.
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Child Workforce DBS check via the Update Service at their own cost unless they already possess a valid DBS with Update Service registration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
