SEN Teaching Assistant – Southampton (Lordshill Area)

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a friendly and supportive primary school in the Lordshill area of Southampton who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly within Key Stage 1. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential – both academically and personally.

The role:

  • Supporting children in KS1 with a range of special educational needs

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning and interventions

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a school setting

  • A calm, patient and positive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for helping every child succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
