Social and Emotional Mental Health Support Assistant

Job description

Our client primary school in York has approached us to help them secure a new support assistant who has a background supporting pupils at primary age who have special educational needs.

This particular role will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in reception, who requires social and emotional mental health support.

The ideal candidate will have a calm and nurturing demeanour and be confident their ability to manage behaviour and provide specific interventions.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
