SEND GCSE English and Maths Tutor - Stockton

Teaching Personnel are working with several SEND provisions in the Stockton area to recruit a tutor for students in looked after care, including foster care or children's homes in Key Stage 4.
You will be working on a flexible basis with various students in hour or two hour slots on a one to one basis with students aged between 14 and 16. The candidate will be working with students who are currently studying for their GCSE qualifications in Maths and English. The role could be based in a variety of environments including schools and community centres. The students that you will be working with come from different backgrounds and home situations and many have social, emotional and mental health difficulties and may display challenging behaviour within the sessions. The ideal candidate will have a patient and nurturing attitude and be passionate about teaching young people.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree standard and have experience teaching in mainstream or SEND environments. You will also have or be willing to apply for a Child Workforce Only DBS.
In this role, you could be earning up to £25 per hour, you will be supported by Teaching Personnel's specialist education recruitment consultants who can place you into the roles best suited to you as well as providing opportunities to further training through our CPD academy.
