Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for full time and part time Teaching Assistants for an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ SEN school.

About the School:

A day community school for children with special needs including profound and multiple (PMLD), Severe (SLD), Moderate (MLD) or complex learning difficulties.

Some children have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs; others are statemented as being within the autistic spectrum. All of the young people have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) which is reviewed regularly.

The school provides for 160 children and students between the ages of 2 and 19 years.

What are we looking for?

It is not essential that you have experience working in a SEN school however experience working with individuals that have special needs would be an advantage.

What is most important to this school, is that they find someone who matches their values so if you communicate well, are kind, caring and compassionate and find joy in helping other people then we would love to hear from you.

Due to the varying needs and age of the students at this school, we are looking for applicants who have a flexible approach to work. Although rewarding, working with such vulnerable young people can be extremely challenging so we are looking for team players with a great sense of humour.

We currently have a need for full time, part time and flexible staff.
