SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

Are you passionate about transforming education for children with social, emotional and mental health needs? Are you seeking rewarding work within a classroom setting? Do you want permanent work?

If so, a new academy in Lincolnshire are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work permanently with individuals and groups of young individuals ranging from EYFS to KS2. You must be able to provide support to senior leadership teams and across the whole schools promoting a range of child centred activities focused on child development and learning.

Formal qualifications are not essential for this role, however candidates will have:

  • The ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
  • Be able to empathise with children and work as part of a team
  • Be able to demonstrate 'unconditional positive regard'
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Versatility, creativity and resilience

You will be expected to:

  • Keep records and act in accordance with academy policies and legislation
  • Foster growth, self-esteem and independence, observe and record development
  • Carry out reasonable daily personal care/hygiene duties and administer basic first aid

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
