*Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant required for a secondary school in Salford*

As of September 2019, our client secondary school in Salford have incorporated a brand new Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) provision into part of their SEN department. This provision was built due to the amount of pupils with ASC within the school. Our client school are now looking for another SEN Teaching Assistant to work within this provision after the Christmas break.

  • Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role available from January 2020.
  • Work within an ASC provision in an average sixed secondary school in Salford.
  • Supporting pupils with ASC within a variety of subjects including English and Maths.
  • Providing guidance inside the classroom and during break/lunch time duties.
  • Working alongside the inclusion manager and SENCO to ensure all pupils have the correct support they require.
  • Help to plan and prepare intervention sessions for pupils within the provision.

Application Requirements

  • You must have experience with young people who have Special Educational Needs.
  • Any experience within a school setting previously is desirable however not essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to confidently support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition in both small groups and on a 1:1 basis. Many of these pupils require empathic and specific support in order to reach their targets and it is important the successful candidate understands this tailored support.

Our client school is based in Salford, close by to Eccles and is easily accessible via surrounding areas such as Stretford, central Manchester and Leigh. Our client school is also accessible via several public transport links from many areas surrounding Greater Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
