SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs?

Do you have experience working alongside pupils aged 11-16 in a supportive capacity?

If so then Teaching Personnel wish to hear from you;

We are currently working with a number of secondary schools based in Wigan who wish to appoint specialist teaching assistants who are able to provide dedicated support to students with SEN requirements.

SEN Teaching Assistant;

  • Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant roles supporting students with additional needs
  • Positions starting in December and January
  • Typical earning of up to ÂŁ1300 a month
  • Employment for the remainder of the academic year with the opportunity to earn a permanent contract

Working through Teaching Personnel will allow you access to a number of current SEN Teaching Assistant positions within secondary schools in Wigan.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistants will be working alongside identified pupils that have a range of Special Education Needs, supporting them through daily school life. Experience working alongside young people with Special Education Needs (especially ASC) is essential to be considered for this Teaching Assistant role.

SEN Teaching Assistant Roles and Responsibilities;

  • Supporting pupils who have a range of SEN requirements on a 1:1 basis both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Monitoring behaviour and attainment levels and supporting the class teacher when needed.
  • Working closely with students who are on the Autistic (ASC) Spectrum.
  • Ensuring that students progress within class and supporting their learning.
