Psychology Graduate – SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Specialist Schools in Guildford & Godalming
Settings: SEMH & SEN Specialist Schools
Hours: Full-time (Term-time only)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in SEMH specialist settings?
We’re recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils in specialist primary and secondary schools across Guildford and Godalming.

This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Teaching, or SEN support


Your Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group SEMH support

  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management

  • Implement positive behaviour strategies

  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams

  • Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment


About You

  • Psychology degree (or related subject)

  • Passion for SEMH, mental health, and child development

  • Patient, resilient, and empathetic

  • Experience with children is a bonus (not essential!)
