Job description

Teaching Personnel are in search for experienced SEN Specialists to work within the Borough of Hounslow. We are looking for individuals who want to create a comfortable learning atmosphere for SEN students and make a difference through 1 to 1 interaction and learning. There are multiple schools in the area that are looking for people on a temporary and permanent basis.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Have experience working with a range of SEN and EAL pupils, including downs syndrome, autism and children who are non verbal
  • Use initiative, the ability to adapt quickly and to be inventive when dealing with different needs
  • Reliable, organised and active
  • To provide support consistently and efficiently
  • Supporting teachers with the maintenance of student records; providing relevant feedback to students and parent

As a potential candidate with experience with Autism, ADHD, EBD, PMLD, etc. is favourable however, overall experience with working with SEN children will be taken into account. Additional training for SEN is great but not crucial as are able to offer course such as, NASEN, Autism Awareness Training and Read, Write Inc. Phonics Training.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
