Teaching Personnel are currently seeking Specialist Teaching Assistants to work across our partner primary schools in Selby to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) from September 2019.
We require experienced Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children with a variety of complex needs, with the confidence to provide support across a variety of different schools, often at short notice. Roles range from emergency day to day cover, as well as longer term positions and permanent vacancies for the right candidates.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant at Teaching Personnel, you will find yourself supporting a range of different children across different kinds of schools across Selby. This is a very rewarding role where you will often be supporting vunerable children, with very complex needs, making a difference to their learning and development.
Our client schools are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLNC).
The ideal applicant will:
- be a qualified Teaching Assistant OR have experience supporting individuals with complex needs (ideally both)
- have an understanding of either ASC, SLCN and/or SEMH
- be hard working, proactive and show the ability to use your own initiative
- have at least 3 days availability per week
- have access to your own transport and be flexible to travel around York
