Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support one of our primary schools in the Partington area. This full-time role begins on 1st April and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment.

The position involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, as well as delivering small group interventions both inside and outside of the classroom. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to help pupils access learning, regulate emotions, and develop key social and academic skills. The school is looking for someone warm, patient, and proactive, who can help create an inclusive and encouraging learning space for young children.

We welcome applications from individuals with previous experience supporting children with SEN such as Autism, Speech and Language, or SEMH. We also welcome applications from those with KS1 or early years backgrounds. Strong communication skills, a nurturing approach, and a genuine desire to support children’s development are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
