Job description

Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school in Stretford that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis. The child has ADHD and can find independent work challenging, so the school is looking for someone confident in creating structure, encouraging positive behaviour, and providing consistent, tailored support.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil in both classroom learning and physical education
  • Use strategies to help the pupil stay focused, motivated, and engaged
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team
  • Adapt your approach to meet the child’s individual learning and behavioural needs

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEN
  • Be confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Understand the national curriculum and KS2 expectations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
