Job description

SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – FARNWORTH, BOLTON

Ready to make a real difference every single day?

Our partnering primary school in Farnworth is looking for a confident, compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full‑time (8:30am–3:30pm). We’re recruiting on their behalf, and they’re searching for someone who brings experience, empathy and the right qualifications to the table—specifically, a TA qualification and proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school setting.

This isn’t just a support role; it’s hands-on, heart-first work. You’ll be helping children access learning, adapting resources, assisting with EHCP targets, delivering tailored interventions, and working closely with teachers to create a calm, structured learning environment. You’ll be a champion for the pupils you support—celebrating every win, steadying every wobble, and making sure they feel safe, understood and included.

Expect a welcoming school community, full‑time hours that fit the school day, and a competitive pay rate that recognises your experience.

If you’ve got the right background, the right attitude and the right passion—this could be the perfect next step.

We look forward to hearing from you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
