Job description

We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and skilled Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school team in Partington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years education and experienced in supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide 1:1 and small-group support for children in our Reception class as well as general whole class support. The role involves helping pupils access learning, supporting communication and social development, and creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with complex SEN, including communication, sensory, or behavioural needs
  • Understands the EYFS curriculum and the importance of play-based learning
  • Builds warm, trusting relationships with young children
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and families
  • Brings patience, positivity, creativity, and a commitment to fostering independence
  • Is reliable, proactive, and genuinely passionate about making a difference

The role is to start ASAP and run at least until the end of the academic year wiht a possibility to move onto school based contract. Please apply with an updated CV.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
