Behaviour Support Assistant – Wythenshawe
We are currently recruiting for a resilient and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a supportive school setting in Wythenshawe.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping them to engage positively with their learning and develop key social and emotional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with behavioural needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support the class teacher in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs (e.g. SEMH, ADHD, ASD)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
- Resilient, confident, and able to handle challenging situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
