SEN Support Mentor – Full Time (M13)

Because some pupils don’t just need support… they need you.

If you’re the type of person who notices the quiet child before the loud one, who celebrates tiny wins like big victories, and who sees the whole child — not just their diagnosis — then you might be exactly who this SEN provision in M13 is looking for.

This is not your typical support role.
This is hands‑on, day‑in‑day‑out, meaningful work within a specialist provision attached to a vibrant primary school. The pupils here rely on consistency, patience, creativity, and someone who turns up every day ready to make their world feel safer and more manageable.

What your day could look like

  • Working closely with pupils with a range of additional needs (SEN/SEMH/communication needs) in a small, well‑resourced provision
  • Helping children regulate, reset and re-engage when things become overwhelming
  • Supporting learning through sensory, practical and personalised approaches
  • Being a calm, steady and reassuring presence that pupils can depend on
  • Collaborating with an experienced SEN team who value new ideas and fresh thinking

What we’re looking for

  • Someone who can commit 5 days a week, full time — consistency is everything here
  • Experience with SEN is great, but attitude, resilience and emotional intelligence matter most
  • A person who stays calm under pressure and thinks creatively when supporting behaviour or learning
  • A genuine interest in helping pupils thrive in ways that matter to them

What you’ll gain

  • A long‑term, stable role in a supportive SEN provision
  • Regular guidance from an experienced SENCO and inclusion team
  • Training opportunities to develop your SEN skillset
  • The chance to make a measurable difference to pupils who really need stability

Ready to be the person who changes someone’s school experience this year?

Send your CV. Roles like this don’t come up often — and the pupils here can’t wait to meet the right person.
