SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a safe, inclusive learning environment. You’ll be supporting children with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist with classroom activities and learning plans
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Adapt resources and strategies to meet individual needs
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or other settings)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) – desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
