Full time role based in a Special Needs Resource Base in Monmouth (Primary aged)
February 24th Start - Interviews are to be held asap
The Special Needs Resource Base (SNRB) is attached to a small primary school that are known for their excellent support with special needs. This SNRB caters for children who have profound and multiple problems, genetic conditions, congenital disorders, autism and severe learning difficulties.The emphasis on learning is to do it through play. The head teacher has asked us to find someone who has had experience with special needs for this role. This can be personal, voluntary or professional experience but it is essential you aren't phased about working with special needs.
The pay for the successful teaching assistant would be based on experience between GBP57 - GBP65 a day. You will be joining a strong team of teaching assistants who love working at the school. You will support children on a one to one or small group basis. There are three classes to the SNRB each one has a class teacher and up to four teaching assistants within the class (Depending on the amount pupils).
Working with Teaching Personnel we will ensure that the relevant training is provided to be successful in this SEN teaching assistant role.
What you need:
- Enhanced DBS registered with the update service
- Registered with the education workforce council (full assistance provided)
- Experience with special educational needs and personal care - ASD, ADHD, Pmld, VI and HI
